The Ali Zafar Foundation believes that education is the most important key to a brighter future for both individuals and our country. In 2018, AZF adopted two government schools in the Lahore District: the Government Lidher Primary Boys’ School and the Govt. Girls’ High School, Karbath, continues to improve standards to provide an optimal learning environment to children from economically depressed areas.

AZF’s aim is to work with authorities to improve existing educational structures. To this end, we have adopted a three-pronged approach:

  • The improvement of the physical infrastructure
  • Teacher training
  • Focusing on the overall personal development of students including soft skills.

In the past year, AZF has worked with our donors to work on improving the physical space in both schools.

📌Karbath

A new classroom has been built to accommodate some of school’s the youngest students, who were previously studying in the courtyard
under the open sky, exposed to noise and the elements.

📌Lidher

The boys’ school was faced with severely degraded furniture, broken windows, faded whiteboards, and no swings for the children to play. AZF
again worked with our donors to upgrade the physical infrastructure as needed by the school administration.
